Lamar Jones Jr.

Lamar Jones Jr. is a world-renowned business coach, executive strategist and CEO of Underdog Investments. His humble beginnings growing up in Queens, NY, fueled his drive for success and commitment to persistence, tenacity, and honest work. At the tender age of six, he began selling miscellaneous clothing and toy products door to door to help bring money home for the family. By the age of 10, Lamar was making deals on wholesale clothing and electronics, as well as delivering print advertisements for a local Western Beef Franchise.

At 17, Jones proudly joined the United States Marine Corps. Between training sessions and deployments, he devoted nights and weekends to education. As a full-time active-duty Marine and full-time entrepreneur, he succeeded in building local brands in Southern California. He proceeded to achieve a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Business Management from American University. Jones is also a Columbia Business School Alumnus with certifications in private equity and venture capital investment. Jones is also a Seminarian and received his biblical education from New York Theological Seminary and Alliance Theological Seminary. During his career Jones has built financial models for the FDNY, SAP and Ogilvy Public Relations.

Mr. Jones also served as Founder/Vice President of Viacom’s “HIRE A VET” initiative leading corporate planning and strategic partnerships. Jones landed major partnership with organizations such as Toyota, General Electric, PEPSICO, Citibank, American Airlines, State Farm, and many more. Jones also forged strategic partnerships with G.I. Jobs, Recruit Military, IAVA (Iraq Afghanistan Veterans of America), Hire Heroes, Got Your 6, ACP, Robin Hood, and many others in the effort of hiring veterans. Under his leadership the team developed A-List celebrity PSA’s that have aired regular on Viacom. Jones has also appeared on CNN.

Lamar Jones Jr.’s humble beginnings taught him about perseverance and to nurture his talents. His drive for success has led him to hold leadership roles in his career. Jones has now dedicated his life to teaching people how to succeed as beacons of hope in their communities, through implementing his coaching strategies for life success that he proclaims to be “Godly Business”.
